CURE envisions an urban India where marginalized communities, especially women, actively shape resilient, equitable, and inclusive cities. Its mission is to foster sustainable practices, strengthen participatory governance, and generate people-centered data for informed urban planning. Through a holistic, ecosystem-based approach, CURE addresses urban inequities, integrating housing, water, sanitation, health, education, and livelihoods. The organization empowers communities as co-creators, linking grassroots knowledge with municipal systems and digital tools to implement context-specific, eco-sensitive interventions such as slum upgrading, simplified sewers, household toilets, rainwater harvesting, and bio-remediation. These solutions promote climate-conscious, inclusive development, improve service delivery, and inform state and city policies on sustainable housing and habitat management.
