The city of Gangtok in Sikkim was supported by ADB to develop a water supply and sewerage plan. CURE helped design the social strategy to improve availability and access of water and sanitation services to the poor and slum dwellers in the city. Besides undertaking a baseline study to generate and interpret socio-economic data, focus group discussions and PLA tools were used for making a situational analysis. A Knowledge Attitude and Practice (KAP) study was also undertaken to contribute to the infrastructure design
