The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was supported to undertake a study of all community toilets and urinals in two city zones Karol Bagh and Paharganj. Data was collected on the quality of infrastructure and maintenance of public and community toilets and urinals. The data was geo-referenced on Delhi's slum map prepared by CURE to build a Community Based Information System (CBIS). Toilet Monitoring Committees were mobilised in 50 settlements. They discussed key problems and challenges with the MCD towards improvement of these facilities.
